Taking into account human nature in teaching

Good practice also suggests that a lesson structure should reflect our human weaknesses where concentration is concerned—a twenty-minute
period of intense writing followed by a meaningful feedback session and an activity which requires movement around the room are more likely to combine well and sustain effective learning for longer.
